I.M.A.M. Delegation Visits Islamic Centers in Georgia

A delegation from the Imam Mahdi Association of North America (I.M.A.M.) led by its Chairman, Sayyid M.B. Kashmiri, representative of Ayatullah Sayyid al-Sistani in North America was invited to visit Islamic centers in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Zainabia Islamic Education Center- Atlanta, Georgia

Sayyid M.B. Kashmiri delivers the Friday Sermon at Al-Rasoul Masjid & Center

In the first of three visits, the I.M.A.M delegation visited the Zainabia Islamic Education Center, in Atlanta, Georgia on March 30th, 2017, 2nd of Rajab, 1438.

Sayyid M.B. Kashmiri delivered his lecture on Imam Ali al-Hadi’s (p), due to the anniversaries of his birth and death, and began the lecture on the importance of Imamate, the leadership of the Ahl al-Bayt (pbut), the system of representation (wikalah), and the Imam’s role of serving and communicating with the Shi’a community under the oppressive Abbasid regime. Sayyid Kashmiri connected the relationship between Imam al-Hadi (p) and building a community with the present day community and the current marjaeya.

He concluded the lecture by saying that leaders, with the permission (ijazah), to collect khums, are responsible to manage dues with extreme caution and full transparency, in order to make sure it supports the Shi’a community and religious education.

Al-Rasoul Masjid & Center – Lilburn, Georgia

Sayyid M.B. Kashmiri leads congregational prayers at the Jaffari Center of Atlanta

In the first of two visits, the I.M.A.M. delegation visited the community at Al-Rasoul Masjid and Center, located in Lilburn, Georgia on March 31st, 2017. Sayyid M.B. Kashmiri lead the congregational prayer and delivered the Friday Sermon.

In his sermon, Sayyid discussed the relationship between faith and good deeds. He went on to describe how important these qualities are in our daily actions and in our ability to give. He concluded by stressing the the importance of practicing Islamic manners according to our Ahl al-Bayt (pbut).

Jaffari Center of Atlanta – Scottdale, GA

The delegation also held an informal meeting with the youth on Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 at the IMAM institute in Atlanta

On Saturday, April 2, 2017, Sayyid Kashmiri visited the Jaffari Center of Atlanta and delivered a speech on the importance of the months of Rajab, Sha’ban, and the Holy month of Ramadhan. He emphasized how these sacred months affect us through blessings and rewards from Allah, the Most High.

Sayyid elaborated that as the body needs nourishment and care, the spirit also has its needs. One should also be mindful that what we consume, in terms of food and drink, indirectly has an effect on our soul. Sayyid Kashmiri concluded his lecture by stressing the importance of our obligation to pay khums, noting the qualifications of who can accept khums money, and how khums should be spent in the right way.
