Martyrdom Anniversary of Imam Hussain ibn Ali (p)

Sunday, October 1st, 2017, marks the Martyrdom Anniversary of the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussain ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (p), 10th of Muharram (the day of Ashura), 1439 A.H.

On the day of Ashura, Imam Hussain (p) said the following:

“Beware! Now this illegitimate son of the illegitimate father (Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad) has stationed me between two things: Between unsheathing the sword and bearing humiliation, and we will never accept humiliation. Verily God, His messenger, the sacred and pure laps [mothers] which have nursed us, and dignified souls, all have refused choosing obedience to the ignoble men over an honorable death.”

I.M.A.M. sends condolences to the 12th Imam, Imam Mahdi (p) and the believers on the martyrdom anniversary of the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussain ibn Ali (p), the martyrdom of his holy family and his righteous companions on the day of Ashura.
