Al-Sadr Foundation Visits IMAM HQ

A delegation from Al-Sadr Foundation in Lebanon visited the IMAM headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan on March 22. The delegation was led by Sayyida Rabab al-Sadr, sister of Lebanese shia leader, Sayyid Musa al-Sadr, who was kidnapped in 1978 and was never found. Sayyida Rabab al-Sadr was joined by Sayyid Nijad Sharafiddine, the executive director of al-Sadr Foundation, Sayyid Hamid al-Sadr, the chairman of the U.S. chapter of Sadr Foundation, and Haj Rached al-Mesri, the executive director of U.S. Sadr Foundation.

The group was welcomed by several IMAM representatives, such as Sayyid M.B. Kashmiri, religious affairs director, Shaykh al-Halabi, senior religious scholar, Sayyid al-Saabari, spiritual scholar, Shaykh Hazem, researcher and scholar, and Ghassan Hassan, board member at IMAM.

The purpose of this visit was to further strengthen the bond between the two organizations and also, to learn about the new projects that both organizations are working on and explore areas of potential cooperation.
