1- It has a special form of reward, but it does not suffice in place of the obligatory prayers.
2- There are two versions of this prayer narrated in Makarim al-Akhalq.
3- It can be performed whether the parents are living or dead.
4- The following are two versions narrated by Shaykh al-Tabrasi in Makarim al-Akhlaq.
The prayer of gifting the parents: Version (1)
Intend to pray Salat bir alwalidayn for the sake of proximity to Almighty Allah.
1st Rakat: Recite Surat al-Fatiha (al-Hamd), then raise your hands as Qunoot and recite the following verse ten times:
((Rabbanaghfirlee waliwa lidayya walil mo’mineena yauma yaqoomul hisaab)) (14:41)
“Our Lord! Cover us with Thy forgiveness, me and my parents and all believers on the day that the reckoning will be established.”
2nd Rakat: Recite Surat al-Fatiha (al-Hamd), then raise your hands as Qunoot and recite the following verse ten times:
((Rabbigh firlee waliwa lidayya walimun dakhala bayti mo’mineenun walil mo’mineena wal mo’minaat)) (71:28)
“Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and those who enter my house with belief and men who believe and women who believe.”
After the competition of prayer recite the following verse ten times:
((Rabbir ham huma kama rabba yani saghira)) (17:24)
“Our Lord! Forgive them both for they have brought me up in my childhood.”
The prayer of gifting the parents: Version (2)
In the first Rakat: Recite Surat al-Fatiha (al-Hamd), then raise your hands as Qunoot and recite the following verse twenty times:
((Rabbir ham huma kama rabba yani saghira)) (17:24)
In the second Rakat: Recite Surat al-Fatiha (al-Hamd), then raise your hands as Qunoot and recite the following verse twenty times:
((Rabbir ham huma kama rabba yani saghira)) (17:24)
After the competition of prayer recite the following verse ten times in the state of Sujood:
((Rabbir ham huma kama rabba yani saghira)) (17:24)

Is it permissible to use a sajdagah (mohr/turbah) for prostration, which has some inscription or verses of the Holy Qur’an or writing or the names of masoomeen or the outline/full structure of a mosque/shrine on it?
It is permissible; however, it is better to use a Turbah that is free of writings.

It is permissible to recite Dua or Surah on water and food, however, it is detestable (makrooh) to blow on it.

As long as the content is lawful (halal) there is no problem.

If my non-Muslim mother opposes me taking a second wife should that be a valid reason for not contracting a second marriage?
If your mother's opposition stems from her fear and concern for you, meaning that she fears that a second marriage will negatively affect you, then you must avoid it unless it is necessary for you. Otherwise, if her opposition stems from her disbelief in polygamy, you do not have to avoid the second marriage.

Can I give khums to my sister to make a down payment so she can afford to buy a house?
If your sister is a Sayyid, you can give her from Sahme Sadat which is half of the Khums, under the following conditions:
1- She cannot live in a rental because her status requires that she owns a home.
2- She has no other means to own a home except through paying a down payment.
3- She does not have enough money to cover the down payment.
4- She has no one (such as a husband or mature children) to cover her financial need, or she has one but they can't cover her financial need.

I work as a movie producer, is it permissible to produce a movie with sciences there are Christians who talking about the concept of trinity and have Prophet Isa (p) on a cross, notice my purpose is not to support the concept of trinity rather want to show a message with the movie, what is the ruling?
Although your intention is not to promote false beliefs, it is not permissible to produce a movie that includes false beliefs without refuting them.

I work as a teacher, some of my students are handicapped non mahram females and have problem to writing with their hand, is it permissible to hold their hand and help them learning writing?
You can use gloves when touching their hands. Otherwise, it is not permissible to touch the body of a non-mahram opposite gender directly. You may explain it to them that it is for a religious purpose. The experiences show it is acceptable and finds a positive reflection.

When do I pay zakat al-mal?
Zakat al-mal does not apply unless you have cattle, grow certain crops with a specific quantity, or have gold and silver currency.

I have promised to give an amount of money on certain date to people who will build a mosque. During the building process I discovered another person needs that money to do a crucial surgery. Is it permissible to break my promise and give the money to the person in purpose to save his life?
Saving a person's life is a priority, therefore you can notify the people who are in the process of building the mosque that you are not able to contribute due to needing the money to save a person's life.
